George Byron Norton

George Byron Norton, 76, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at his home in Moriarty, NM with his loving family around him. George was born in Council Bluffs, IA on November 26, 1933 to Hulbert and Daisy Marie (Couch) Norton. He had lived in Moriarty since 1974 having previously lived in Council Bluff, IA. He married Leilani Hickerson on August 9, 1979. George was the owner of the Frontier Bar in Moriarty. George is survived by his wife, Leilani Norton of Moriarty, NM; he is also survived by his sons, Steve Norton, Tim Norton and his wife Jody, Joe Norton, Rick Norton and his wife Zandy, Mike Norton, and Ron Norton; and one daughter, Cheryl Smith; fifteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services are pending. Cremation has taken place.
