A lifelong resident of Estancia and USPS Mail Carrier of 51 years has passed away. Herbert Moore SR was at home with his family, Tuesday, May 9, 2006, when he peacefully passed to be with his Savior. Herbert was an outstanding citizen and was dedicated to his job and family. His determination and old fashion work ethic, with the help and support of his wife Triney, allowed them to run the rural mail route fro 51 years. Though good and bad weather, 6 days a week, the mail was always delivered. He always appreciated the help the mail route residents provided when in need. He also owned and operated a boot shop where he repaired and sold boots and saddles. Herbert owned “The Shoe Shop” for 45 years. Herbert was preceded in death by his mother Bessie Loveless; brothers, O.C., Debbs, Vernon; and sisters, Bernice and Willie. Herbert awaits the reunion of his family. He is survived by his loving wife Triney Moore; daughters, Marilyn and husband Gilbert Acosta of Estancia, NM; Crystal Millar of Estancia, NM; Jewel and husband James Provencio of Rio Rancho, NM; his sons, Gabriel Moore of Estancia; Herbert Moore JR of Estancia, NM; five grandchildren, Dean, Mark, Jessica, Miranda and Shannon; brothers, Lonnie, Jack, Marty; and sisters Nellie and June. Herbert a truly extraordinary, and devoted man, will be missed for a very long time, by all who respect and love him. There will be a Graveside Service Friday, May 12, 2006 at 10:00 AM at the Estancia Cemetery in Estancia, NM. Pallbearers will be Marilyn Acosta, Bill Millar, Gilbert Acosta, Dean Acosta, Mark Acosta, and James Provencio. Honorary Pallbearers are Keith Smith, Jack Dial and James Solomon.
