Willa Kathryn Kennedy

Willa Kathryn Kennedy, 60, of Edgewood, NM passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, June 4, 2010. Willa was born in Artesia, NM on June 2, 1950 to Albert Dale and Ruby V. (Ischar) Kennedy. She had lived in Edgewood for the past 15 years, having previously lived in Blythe, CA. Willa is survived by her mother, Ruby Kennedy of Artesia, NM; sister, Mary Gore of Las Vegas, NV; nephews, Perry Gore and his wife Cindy Zanzig, and Jared Gore; great niece, Brighton Gore, and numerous cousins and friends. Willa was a retired teacher, receiving the District Teacher of the Year award. In her retirement Willa enjoyed quilting, needlework, and traveling. She loved color. Willa was passionate in her love of her pets.
