Dorothy Ruth Thomas

Dorothy Ruth Thomas, 85, of Mountainair, NM passed away July 26, 2006 in Mountainair, NM. Dorothy was born on May 29, 1921 to J.D. and Wonnia (Engram) Flemins in Stamford, Texas. Dorothy has been a resident of Mountainair, NM her whole life and a member of the First Assembly of God in Mountainair. She was also a member of the Chapter “O” of P.E.O. (women’s missionary union). Dorothy married Walter Lee Thomas July 24, 1936 in Los Lunas, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by Lee, her loving husband for 69 years; daughter Patricia Perkins; grandson Allen Hollon. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Carolyn, and husband Carl Hollons; grandsons Lee and Crystal Hollons; Tom and Kandy Perkins; Shawn and Lori Perkins; great grandchildren Alisha; Aubrey and James Allen Hollon; Kimber Perkins; Zackary Mackinzie Perkins; step-granddaughter, Cheryl Kelly; her daughter and grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services Saturday, July 29, 2006 at the First Assembly of God of Mountainair at 10:00 AM. Internment will follow at the Round Top Cemetery. Pallbearers are Lee Hollon, Tom Perkins, Shawn Perkins, Gary Thomas, Mike Thomas, and Wess Wells. Honorary Pallbearers will be Carl Hollon and her Church Family and Vernie Wells.
