John C. McCamey, 72, of Edgewood, NM passed away September 10, 2006 in Albuquerque, NM. John was born July 21, 1934 to William and Pearl (Shoemake) McCamey in Chattagona, TN. John married Betty Smith on July 26, 1953. He was a member of the NRA and has been a resident of Edgewood for 35 years. John was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Nelson McCamey; sisters, Geneva Higgins and Blanch Brown. He is survived by his wife, Betty McCamey of Edgewood, NM; sons, Steven McCamey; Jay Scott McCamey of Edgewood, NM; daughter, Karen Gadberry of Edgewood, NM; brother, Ray and his wife Mary Jane McCamey of Albuquerque, NM; sisters, Billie Goodwin of Ohio; Jackie and husband Lonnie Fritz of Los Lunas, NM; Shirley Stott of Salt Lake City, UT; four grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
