Betty Lake Tarpley Ansley, 65, of Edgewood, NM passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2010. Betty was born in Ft. Sumner, NM on March 31, 1945 to Lake and Virginia (Woods) Tarpley. Betty was a member of the Stanly Union Church. She was a member of the High Desert Riders, SASS (Single Action Shooters Society) and the Church Choir. She loved the outdoors, was a proud supporter/donor to the TREAT program (Tarleton State University Equine Assisted Therapy). She enjoyed horse back riding, driving her surrey, dancing and fishing. She was an instructor of BOW (Becoming an Outdoor Woman) and was an Aflac agent. Betty is survived by her son Ronnie Ansley and his wife Rachelle of Albuquerque, NM; daughters, Shawnna Brown and her husband Jim of Las Cruces, NM; Danielle Luca and her husband Michael of Shrewsbury, NJ; aunts, Dolores Boone and Virginia Deemar; sisters, Margaret Jacobs, Kathryn Tarpley Kite, and Lori van Buskirk; cousins, Barbara and Larry Sharp; Bobby and Marsha Nash; Mark and Dana Deemer; grand children Gabrielle Luca, Elise Brown and Ava Ansley; and many great friends. There will be a memorial service at Stanley Union Church on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 1:00pm with John Nash officiating.
