Barbara Jenell Garrison

Barbara Jenell Garrison, 77, of Mountainair, NM passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at her home with her loving family surrounding her. Jenell was born on February 7, 1933 in Mountainair, NM to John A. and Oletha (Williams) Aday. Jenell lived in Mountainair, NM for the past 16 years. She married Reuben Garrison, her loving husband of 58 years, on November 1, 1951 in Mountainair, NM. Jenell was homemaker, raising six children. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was devoted to God, family and church. She had the gift of hospitality and she loved the outdoors. Jenell was preceded in death by her parents, John A. and Oletha Aday and her sister, Lavonne Sessions. She is survived by her husband Reuben Garrison; sons, Randy Garrison and his wife Debbie of Alamosa, CO, Marvin Garrison of Alamosa, CO, and Wendell Garrison and his wife Heather of Houston, BC, Canada; daughters, Linda Bergstrom of Tacoma, WA, Pam Giles and her husband Jeff of Longmont, CO and Marsha Bishop and her husband Les of Aurora, CO; brother John Aday and his wife Diane of Estancia, NM; sister, Sue Houser and her husband Roger of Albuquerque, NM; eighteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. There will be a viewing from 5:00 to 8:00pm on Friday, April 30, 2010 at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Mountainair, NM. On Saturday, May 1, 2010 there will be a Memorial Service at the Mountainair Assembly of God Church at 11:00am in Mountainair, NM with Pastor Jeff Giles officiating. A private family burial will take place at the Mountainair Cemetery on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 10:00AM in Mountainair, NM. Pallbearers will be Ryan Garrison, Jason Giles, Corbin Bishop, Preston Bishop, Dustin Bishop, and Brandon Garrison.
