Arthur Herbert Callaway, 80, of McIntosh, NM passed away at his home on Sunday, April 18, 2010. Arthur Callaway was born in Fremont, Nebraska on August, 12, 1929 to Albert Herbert and Darlene (Brewer) Callaway. He married his wife of forty-nine years, Deanna Laura Benton, in El Point SD on November 17, 1961. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Callaway had lived in McIntosh for the past 18 years, having previously lived in Le Shara, NE. He was a member of the Eagles. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; his wife who passed away on the same date of his death; and two brothers, Albert “Pink” Callaway and Jack Dean Callaway. He is survived by his sons, Steven Guffey, Craig Guffey, Kenneth Gallaway and Danny Callaway; daughters, Sandra Guffey, Brenda Callaway, Terry Cremer and Linda Callaway Napp; twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. There will be a Memorial Service at Calvary Chapel on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 2:00pm with Pastor Mike Nasci officiating. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to American Cancer or Calvary Chapel. Deanna Laura Callaway, 70, of McIntosh, NM passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2010 in Albuquerque, NM. Deanna was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on November 9, 1939 to Robert and Leona Benton. She married her husband of forty nine year, Arthur Callaway in Elk Point, SD on November 17, 1961. She was a member of the Calvary Christian Church. She and her husband, Arthur had lived in McIntosh, NM for the past eighteen years, having previously lived in La Shara, NE. Deanna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur Callaway, who passed away on the same date that she passed away; brother, Ronnie Benton; and sisters, Ruby Greer and Mona Myers. She is survived by her sons, Steven Guffey, Craig Guffey, Kenneth Callaway and Danny Callaway; daughters, Sandra Guffey, Brenda Callaway, Terry Cramer and Linda Callaway; brother, Donald Benton; sisters, Mary Palmer and Roberta Martinez; twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. There will be a Memorial Service at Calvary Chapel on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 2:00pm with Pastor Mike Nasci officiating. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to American Cancer or Calvary Chapel.
