George Mar Morris

George Mar Morris, 78, better known and loved as Pastor George went home to be with the Lord on November 9, 2007. He was born on March 14, 1929 in Tonkawa, OK. His family moved to Stanley, NM in 1931 where they farmed beans. They moved to Albuquerque in 1946 and George graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1947. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He and wife Barbara were married 53 yrs. and had 3 children: Ron & wife Cheryl, Janice & husband Jim Garcia, Rick & wife Debbie. They have four grandchildren: Luke & Lacey Morris of Colorado, Aaron Garcia of Dallas, Texas and Jessie & husband Ben Warwick of Albuquerque. George’s life and ministry touched many lives and spanned many years as his greatest desire was for everyone to know Jesus as their personal savior. He was loved by all and will be missed greatly. He was laid to rest at Stanley, NM. In lieu of flowers you may send Donations to the Community Church of the Sandias, where a memorial service will be held to celebrate his Life on November 17, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the Community Church, 43 Frost RD.
