Placido D Garcia

Placido D. “Jake” Garcia, 84, of Albuquerque, NM passed away Tuesday, October 09, 2007 at his home in Albuquerque, NM. Placido was born April 14, 1923 in Garita, NM to Sotero and Dometila (Lucero) Garcia. Placido married Carlota Blea on November 23, 1944 in Trujillo, NM. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Nicasio Garcia; sisters, Pimenia Martinez; Senovia Perea; and grandson Johnny Michael Garcia. Placido is survived by his son, Robert Garcia of Albuquerque, NM; daughters, Virginia Garcia of Albuquerque, NM; Corinne Rose and husband David of Corsicana, TX; brothers, Mel Garcia and wife Mary; Dan Garcia and wife Phyllis; sisters, Molly Marez; Angie Jimenez and husband Joe; nine grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, October 14, 2007 at 7:00 PM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, NM. A Mass will be held Monday, October 15, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, NM, Father William Young will be officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Moriarty, NM. Pallbearers are Brandon Garcia, Briana Garcia, Kristen Garcia, Jimmy Garcia, Timothy Garcia and Joseph Garcia. Honorary Pallbearers will be Crucito Garcia, Julian Garcia, Jeff Garcia, Ralph Aragon, Nicohlas Garcia and Desiree Garcia.
