Rick Manuel “Jesse” Montoya, 53, of Mountainair, NM passed away Monday, November 5, 2007 at his home in Mountainair, NM with his loving family beside him. Jesse was born June 23, 1954 in Gallup, NM to Victor Montoya Jr. and Lucy Miranda. Jesse was a member of the D.A.V., the VFW, American Legion and the NRA. Jesse is survived by his father, Victor Montoya Jr. of Roswell, NM; mother, Lucy Miranda of Mountainair, NM; son, Christopher Montoya of Las Cruces, NM; daughters, Katrina Montoya of Mountainair, NM; Tasheena Montoya of Mountainair, NM; Cassandra Montoya of Mountainair, NM; brothers, David Montoya; Ricky Montoya; sisters, Tina Montoya; Elizabeth “Liza” Erives. A Viewing will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary Chapel in Mountainair, NM from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM.A Rosary will be recited Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at 7:00 PM at St. Alice Catholic Parish in Mountainair, NM. A Mass will be held Thursday, November 8, 2007 at 10:00 AM at St. Alice Catholic Parish in Mountainair, NM; Father Ron Stone will be officiating. Interment will be Thursday, November 8, 2007 at 2:30 PM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM. Pallbearers are Terra Montano, Tina Montoya, Liza Erives, Perfie Miranda, David Montoya, Manuel Miranda and Eloy Miranda.
