Ralph Pete Porter

Ralph Rustin Porter “Pete”, 77, of Corona, NM passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2006 in Albuquerque, NM. Pete was born July 9, 1929 to Charlie and Lucille Porter. He was raised in Corona, NM and graduated High School in 1947. He served in the US Army from 1950 to 1952in Korea where he was wounded in action. Pete returned to the U.S. in 1952 and married the love of his life Helen Minor Porter in 1953. They raised 4 children in Los Lunas, NM. He was employed with the BNSF Railroad for 27 years and retired in 1984. Pete loved the outdoors and loved to hunt. He had 12 grandchildren and 9great grandchildren who were the light of his life. Pete is survived by his wife of 53 years Helen Porter of there home in Corona; sons, Bobby and his wife Vicki Porter of Los Lunas, NM; Dean and his wife Diane Porter of Corona, NM; daughters, Nancy Villella of Belen, NM; Sherry and her husband Walter Gensler of Haggerman, NM; 12 grandchildren, Tiffini Porter of Albuquerque, NM; Rustin and wife Jennifer Porter of Los Lunas, NM; Misty and husband Eric Taylor of Roswell, NM; Michael Villella and friend Laura of Albuquerque, NM; Miranda and husband Juan Santillan of Roswell, NM; Monica Villella and finance Jonathan Ake of Belen, NM; Bonnie and husband Stephen Comer of Belen, NM; Phillip Wayne Porter of Los Lunas, NM; Walter Gensler III; Kristi Gensler; Kelly Gensler; Shelly Gensler all of Haggerman, NM; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Vivan Buxton of Roswell, NM; Charlene Scrimshire of OK; brothers, Johnny Porter of Tularosa, NM; Luther Porter of Corona, NM and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 2, 2006 at 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Corona, NM Cal West will be officiating.
