Donald Wayne Cooksey. 80, of Moriarty, NM passed away Sunday. October 7, 2007 at his home in Moriarty, NM. Donald was born March 10, 1927 in Erick, OK to William McKinley and Dola Theda (Sinclair) Cooksey. Donald married Vesta Lorraine Sell on April 12, 1950 who preceded him in death on March 3, 2004. He was also preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Debra Bradley. Donald is survived by his son, Alan Wayne Cooksey and wife Laura of El Paso, TX; daughters, Denice Cooksey of Moriarty, NM; Valorie Jean Cooksey of El Paso, TX; Jenifer Lee Cooksey of Newton, NH; sisters, June Montgomery; Billie Delores Alguire; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Donald was a retired Major from the USA Army, WWII, and a member of the NRA. Graveside Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 11, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso, TX, Pastor Hansen of Mount Hope Lutheran Church will be officiating.
