Julia Montoya, 84 of Moriarty, NM passed away Thursday, June 21, 2007 at her home in Moriarty, NM. Julia was born February 19, 1923 in Sena, NM to Dionisio and Juanita (Romero) Montoya. Julia was a member of the Mount Carmel Lady Society and the Society of Sacret Heart in Galestio. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Eusebio Montoya; Antonio Montoya; Manuel Montoya; sisters, Isidora Gallegos; Prudencia Gallegos; Josephita Chavez and Carmel Ulibarri. Julia is survived by her daughters, Isidra Fields of Moriarty, NM; Mary Jane Chavez and husband Jose M. of Moriarty, NM; five grandchildren, Josephine Brunson and husband Terry; Jose Chavez and wife Tiffani; Steve Chavez and wife Amber; Melita Waldrop and husband Jimmy; William Fields; seven great grandchildren, Michael Brunson; Tyler Brunson; Joseph Chavez; Lucas Chavez; Bailey Waldrop; Amore Chavez and JoJo Chavez. A Rosary will be recited Friday, June 22, 2007 at 7:00 PM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, NM. A Mass will be held Saturday, June 23, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, NM; Father William Young will be officiating. Internment will follow at Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Moriarty, NM. Pallbearers are Orlando Ortega, Joe M. Chavez, Steve Chavez, Jose Chavez, Terry Brunson and Jimmy Waldrop. Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Brunson, Tyler Brunson, Joseph Chavez, Lucas Chavez, Amore Chavez, JoJo Chavez, Bailey Waldrop and William Fields.
