Benjamin Alexander Gallegos, 17, of Albuquerque, NM passed away September 18, 2006 at his home in Albuquerque, NM. Benjamin was born August 15, 1989 to Arnold and Belinda (Burleson) Gallegos in Albuquerque, NM. Benjamin was a junior at Cibola High School. He loved computer games online and offline, loved sports of all kinds, and animals especially cats, there was never a cat that did not immediately love him. He worked his way up to co-Commander Status on StarCraft with the name of AsPHIxIaTion on battle.net. He loved music and had a large collection of music that was always playing either on his computer or his MP3. Ben was that big brother to every one of his friends. Benjamin was preceded in death by brother James D. Gallegos. He is survived by his parents Arnold and Belinda Gallegos of Albuquerque, NM; brother, Justin A. Smith-Gallegos of Albuquerque, NM; grandparents, Laudente & Gloria Gallegos of Moriarty, NM; Linda & Bob Shirley of Albuquerque, NM; great grandmother, Arcenia Salazar of Moriarty, NM; five great uncles; five great aunts; several aunts; uncles; and lots of friends. There will be a Memorial Service Thursday, September 21, 2006 at 2:30PM at First Baptist Church of West Albuquerque, NM located at 6400 Golf Course Charles H. Yates will be officiating. Reception to follow in Fellowship. A memorial fund has been set up at Kirtland Federal Credit Union in the name of Benjamin A Gallegos to benefit the Benjamin Gallegos Memorial Scholarship.
