Richard Charles Alexander, 55, of Moriarty, NM passed away August 12, 2006 in his Moriarty home. Richard was born July 7, 1951 to Carl and Edith (Hanna) Alexander in Albuquerque, NM. Richard married his loving wife Nora (Apodaca) Alexander, February 12, 1972 in Moriarty, NM. He has been a resident of Moriarty, NM since 1970 where he previously lived in Socorro, NM, Richard was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Moriarty. Richard will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He served his community as a law enforcement officer and chief of police. Richard was a devoted friend, avid fisherman, outdoorsman, and camp cook. He was preceded in death by his parents. Richard is survived by his wife, Nora Alexander of Moriarty, NM; sons, Marty and wife Jane Alexander of Lafayette, Louisiana; Robert and wife Sheila Alexander of Tullahoma, Tennessee; James and wife Jill Alexander of Tustin, California; daughter, Rebecca and husband Tracy Alexander-Peruch of Scottsdale, AZ; brothers, Robert Alexander of Milan, NM; Tommy Alexander of Las Cruses, NM; and six grandchildren.
