Joe Harold Jarvis

Joe Harold Jarvis, 83, of Ruidoso, NM passed away Monday, August 20, 2007 in Ruidoso, NM. Joe was born August 18, 1924 in Atoka, OK to Eddie Lillie (Dodson) Jarvis, his father died when he was very young and he was raised by Mike Coben. Joe married Pauline Adams on October 21, 1943 in Lane, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Steve Jarvis; and brother, Lewis Jarvis. Joe co-owned Midway Garage in Ruidoso, NM for 25 years up until his retirement in 1995. Joe is survived by his wife Pauline Jarvis of Ruidoso, NM; sons Joe Wesley “Butch” Jarvis and wife Judy of Ruidoso, NM; Gene Jarvis and wife Connie of Ruidoso, NM; daughter, Jenny Jarvis of Ruidoso, NM; brother, Bill Coben; sisters, Ann Reagan; Maxine Standridge; Darleen Cook; seven grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held Thursday, August 23, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the Fort Stanton Cemetery. Pallbearers are Michael Wall, Wesley Jarvis, Paul Fitzpatrick, Joey Jarvis, Fred Weiss, Matt Brown and Mark Lewis.
