Silvia Santena Dingman, 91, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at her daughter’s home in Estancia, NM. Mrs. Dingman had recently come here from Kiowa, OK, where she had resided for the past 16 years. She was born in Prescott, AZ on February 11, 1919 to Phillip and Theresa Braito. She had one brother, Ceaser Severo Braito (deceased) and one sister, Natalena Braito Roark of Prescott, AZ; two nieces, Barbara Taylor and Nancy Jones; and one nephew, Phillip Roark, who still live in the Prescott area. Silvia married Eugene B. “Salty” Dingman on November 24, 1938. Salty preceded her in death in 1983. She is survived by their four children, Mary E. Cearley and her husband Royce of Kiowa, OK, Ann Sleep of Estancia, NM, Carl E. Dingman and his wife Kathy of Sheridan, OR, and Louise E. Von Tress and her husband John of Las Cruces, NM; eleven grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was very close to her three great-granddaughters, Amanda, Abigail and Allison Sleep of Estancia and two great-grandsons, Christopher and Emmitt Shepard of Mimbres.
