Maxine Bowden

Maxine Bowden, 88, of Ewing passed away peacefully May 8, 2010 at 8:10 pm at Kaseman Hospice Unit in Albuquerque, NM after a long illness. She was born in Franklin County Arkansas at home in 1922 to James Tee and Gratitude Samuels. She married Gene Bowden in Las Cruces, NM, June 7, 1943. She and her husband lived at Ewing on the Bowden family farm since 1964 until present. She was preceded in death by her parents, four siblings, her husband Gene, two sons, Larry and Bobby, and 2 grandchildren KerryJo and Orrin Tucker Akin. She is survived by her daughters Sherry Moorhead, Sandra (Sandy) Barnes and her husband Richard (Dickie) Barnes, Teresa (Terry) West and Kerry (Kay) Matson fiancé Danny West, 8 grandchildren Trisha Chavez, Trina Whisnant, Tracy Cunningham, Jennifer Sanders, Troy Sanders, Jerid West, Marleya Pendleton, Kyle West. The grandchildren’s spouses Charlie, Derek, Robert, Crystal, Talatha, Alan, 20 great grandchildren 3 great great grandchildren, 13 nieces and 4 nephews. Memorial to be held on Saturday May 15, 2010 at the Immanuel Southern Baptist Church in Estancia at 2 pm. Lunch will be served at noon prior to services.
