Delores West

Delores “Dee” Garcia West, 86, passed away at Casa de La Reina in Albuquerque, NM on May 11, 2010. Dee was born in Gallup, NM on November 5, 1923 to Frank and Onofre (Sanchez) Garcia. She married Tallboy West in Andrews, TX on January 27, 1969. She lived in Moriarty, NM since 1975 having previously lived in Gallup, NM and Andrews, TX. She is survived by her husband, of forty two years, Tallboy West of Moriarty, NM; sons, Albert Leyba and his wife Rose of Tempe, AZ, Ed Leyba and his wife Cheryl of Scottsdale, AZ, Tom Leyba and his wife Marilyn of Albuquerque, NM, and stepson, Doyle West of Sweetwater, TX; daughters, Doris “Dori” Smith of Moriarty, NM, Brenda Winner and her husband, Michael of Monrovia, CA, Dee Anne West of Moriarty, NM and Rita Gail Blair and her husband Mark of Weatherford, TX; stepbrothers, Victor and Benny Gonzalez of Rio Rancho, NM; eighteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Dee was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bob Leyba, granddaughter, Jarren Winner and other brothers and sisters. There will be a Memorial Service at 2:00pm at Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM on Friday, May 14, 2010 with Ed Leyba officiating.
