David Maestas

David B. Maestas, 80, of Mountainair, NM passed away October 3, 2006 at his home in Mountainair. David was born September 30, 1926 to Augustine and Elizaria (Baca) Maestas in Punta De Agua, NM. David married Elena Lucero and has been a resident of Mountainair for 80 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Augustine Jr.; Gregorio; Frank; Leo; sisters, Angelina Romero; Romona Maestas. David is survived by his wife, Elena Maestas; brother, Josedario Maestas; sister, Josefina and husband Martin Purcella Sr.; Eddy Baca; Mamie Maestas; great nephew, Stephen and wife Rhonda Torres and son Stephen Torrez Jr.; 48 great nephews and nieces. A Rosary will be recited Thursday, October 5, 2006 at 7:00 PM at the St. Alice Catholic Church in Mountainair, NM A Mass will be held on Friday, October 6, 2006 at 10:00 AM at the St. Alice Catholic Church in Mountainair, NM, father Ron Stone. Pallbearers will be Earl Zinn, Ben Rue, Raymond Maestas, David Maestas, Danny Maestas, and Martin Purcella Jr. Honorary Pallbearers are Stephen Torres Jr., Julian Torres, Juan Lujan, Jose Lujan, Stephen Torres Sr., and Raymond Torres.
