We celebrate the life of our beloved “Tata” Wilfred Gonzales, 75, who passed away on September 28, 2010. Wilfred was an avid golfer, lifelong Lobos and Raiders fan and loving family man, a man who always made time to help his family members and was quick with a smile or a funny dance across the floor. He will be sorely missed by all of his children, grandchildren and his great-grandchild, all of whom held a special spot in his heart. Wilfred led a life blessed by the Lord, as is evidenced by the many experiences he shared with his family. May God welcome his soul into heaven. Wilfred married Lillian Chavez in Albuquerque, NM on June 25, 1960, they recently celebrated 50 years of Marriage. He was a member of the Estancia Valley Catholic Parish. Wilfred is survived by his wife, Lillian Gonzales; sons, Gary Wilfred Gonzales and his wife Debbie San Martin of Albuquerque, NM and Ron Eric Gonzales and his wife Justine Triplehorn of Grants, NM; daughter, Michelle Gonzales and her fianceé, Lawrence Sandoval of Edgewood, NM; sister, Cleo Chavez and her husband, Floyd of Veguita, NM; four grandchildren, Jacob Gonzales, Patrick Gonzales, Stone Gonzales, Alma Gonzales; and one great-grandchild, Marisa Gonzales. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Christopher San Martin-Gonzales. There will be a Rosary recited at 9:00am followed by the celebration of Mass at 10:00am at St. Elizabeth Anne Seton Catholic Church in Edgewood, NM on Saturday, October 2, 2010 with Rev. Fr. William Young officiating. Burial will follow at the Sedillo Cemetery in Sedillo, NM. Pallbearers will be Gary Gonzales, Ron Gonzales, Patrick Gonzales, Stone Gonzales, Jacob Gonzales, Lawrence Sandoval and Brad Triplehorn.
