Carmen D. Stefan, 73, was called to Eternal Life with God on November 1, 2010 at her home in Bellflower, CA. She was born in Puerto de Luna, NM on February 18, 1937, along with her twin, Evangelina, who died in infancy, to Rudolfo and Ignacita Delgado, who preceded her in death. She married her loving husband of 54 years, Lonnie E. Stefan, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Santa Rosa, NM, on August 18, 1956. She is survived by her husband, two sons, Don Gene and his wife Debbie Stefan of Wrightwood, CA and Larry and his wife Carolyn Stefan of Albuquerque, NM; and one daughter, Christy and her husband Joe Hollis of Albuquerque, NM; five grandchildren, Jeff, Lorenz, Janelle, Alonz and Lawrence Jr.; sisters, Sister Martha Delgado of Amarillo, TX, and Angelina and her husband Benito Via; brother, Lorenzo and his wife Frances Delgado of Santa Rosa, NM; uncle, Ernest Padilla and aunts, Ann Hansel and Toni Garcia, all of CA; sisters-in-law, Sue Ann and her husband Art Maynard and Mercedes Delgado; many very special nephews and nieces, cousins and many friends and co-workers who loved her in life. Other brothers and sisters who preceded her in death are: Orlando and his wife Josie Delgado, Frank and his wife Lina Trujillo, Chris and his wife Connie Baca, Rudy Delgado (Korea), Cirilio Delgado and Bertha Fisher, sister-in-law, Celina L. Delgado. Carmen was a very loving and caring person who knew no stranger. She loved her God, her family, her church, St. Dominic Savio in Bellflower, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Moriarty, NM. One special saying was “With God, Nothing is Impossible.” We, her family, return our gift to God, who so generously gave her to us for 73 years. Funeral Service will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 215 Girard Ave, Moriarty, NM on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 10:00AM.
