Manuel Anthony Valdez

Manuel “Manny” Anthony Valdez, 66, of Edgewood, NM passed away on Friday, October 08, 2010. Manny was born on October 24, 1943 in Grenville, NM to Tom and Frances (Montoya) Valdez. He had lived in Edgewood for the past year, having previously lived in Moriarty, Raton, Trinidad, and Albuquerque, NM. Manny served in the Air Force during the Vietnam conflict. He was a truck driver for fifty years. Manny was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers; and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Dianna Rose Valdez; sons, Jerry and his wife Marla, Dario, Mario and his wife Adrienne and Manny Valdez; daughters, Doreen Pendley and her husband Pete, Melissa Martinez, La Donna Valdez, and Becky Valdez; brothers, Al, Nash and Tom Valdez; sisters, Rose Montoya, Toni Montoya, and Louisa Barowski. There will be a viewing from 11:00 to 11:45 at the Old Railroad Depot in Moriarty across from Bethel Community Storehouse, recently called The House of Prayer. The Funeral Service will be at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at 12:00Noon with Chaplin Steven Tvedt officiating. Pallbearers will be Jerry Valdez, Dario Valdez, Mario Valdez, Luis Garcia and Randy Valdez. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Moriarty, NM.
