Delfinia Maria Torres

Delfinia Maria Torres, 75, of Mountainair, NM passed away in Albuquerque, NM on Friday, November 19, 2010. Delfinia was born on August 23, 1935 in Manzano, NM to Antonio and Adela (Sanchez) Maldonado. She was a lifetime resident of Torrance County. She married Miguel Torres, who preceded her in death in 1959, they had five sons and one daughter. Delfinia was a member of St. Alice Catholic Church in Mountainair. Delfinia is survived by her mother, Adela Maldonado of Socorro, NM; sons, Daniel Torres and his wife Annabelle, Michael Torres, Lawrence Mora, Charles Maldonado and his wife Carol; and daughter, Thereisa Torres all of Mountainair, NM; brothers, Narcico Maldonado and his wife Rosella of Albuquerque, NM, Selso Maldonado and his wife Pricella of TX, Melquides Maldonado and his wife Ruth of Albuquerque, NM and William Maldonado of Socorro, NM; sisters, Christina Albeldano of Socorro, NM, Mary Gutierrez and her husband Joe of Chililli, NM, Marcella Maldonado of Albuquerque, NM, Gloria Gonzales of Los Lunas, NM and Lila Maldonado of Socorro, NM, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, husband, two sons, James and Johnny Torres, four brothers, two sisters and one grandson, Steven Maldonado. There will be a Rosary recited on Monday, November 22, 2010 at 7:00PM at St. Alice Catholic Church in Mountainair, NM. The Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 11:00AM also at St. Alice Catholic Church in Mountainair, NM with Fr. Ron Stone officiating. Burial will follow the Mass at Mountainair Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles Maldonado, Daniel Torres, Lawrence Mora, Michael Torres, Roger Scott, Miguel Lovato and Charlie Maldonado. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Delfinia’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
