Abel Emmanuel "Mac" Mcduffie

Abel Emmanuel “Mac” McDuffie, 68, of Edgewood, NM passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2010. Mac was born in Bonifay, FL on October 27, 1941 to Lee Roy McDuffie and Cozie Catherine (Owens) McDuffie. Mac married Ardeth Rae Asher in San Francisco on June 3, 1961. They had lived in Edgewood for the past 20 years, having previously lived in Albuquerque. Mac was a member of the VFW, the National Association of Letter Carriers, the CB HELP Club from 1977 to 1980, and the Dunsmuir, CA Volunteer Fire Department from 1966 to 1972. Mac was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Maxwell R. McDuffie, and sister, Virginia Roberts. He is survived by his wife, Ardeth R. McDuffie of Edgewood, NM; daughters, Kathe McDuffie and her husband John Constant of Moriarty, NM, and Beth Day and her husband Darryl of Edgewood, NM; sisters, Francis Ruby, Rubie Vahscholtz, and Helen Palmer; grandchildren, Amanda Harris, Greg Day, Cody Day, Cory Day, Megan Day and Rachel Constant; and one great-grandchild, Aurora E. Harris-Jones. There will be Viewing on Thursday, July 8, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM. The Funeral Service will be on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 10:30AM at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary. Burial will follow at the Mountain View Cemetery in Moriarty, NM. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Bethel Storehouse in Moriarty, NM.
