Charles W. Ray, 87, of Albuquerque, NM passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2010. Charles was born in Eastland, TX on April 5, 1922 to Charles and Frances (Hall) Ray. Charles lived in Albuquerque for the past 80 years, coming from Eastland, TX. He was a retired prison guard for the state of New Mexico. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ted Ray. He is survived by two sons, Daniel and Glen Ray; daughters, Monica Anderson, Lorna Cannon, Jessica Cayton, Michel Ray, and Melissa Damon; twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 from 10:00 to 11:00am followed by the service at 11:00am at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM. Pallbearers will be Daniel Ray, Travis Ray, Zakery Ray, Jamie Rother, Felipe Cordova, and Bailon Montano Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Glen Ray, James Damon and Paul Damon. Burial will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM on March 31, 2010 at 1:30PM. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association
