Stephen Avery Abbott

Stephen Avery Abbott, 67, of McIntosh, NM passed away at the VA Hospital in Albuquerque, NM on Saturday, August 14, 2010. Stephen was born in Lebernon, Maine on January 19, 1943 to Freeman and Dorothy (Harvey) Abbott. He had lived in McIntosh for the past 10 years, having previously lived in Albuquerque. He married Callie Rachel Morris in Moriarty, NM on October 21, 2006. Stephen was a volunteer at Bethel Storehouse and a member of the Moriarty Chamber of Commerce. He is survived by his wife, Callie Abbott; sons, Stephen Abbott and Jeffery Abbott; Stepchildren, Don Beston, Charles Beston, Greg, Beston, Cheryl Large, Cathie Kinnunen, Julie Sweet, Ariel Hoffner; brother, Robert Abbott and Vanessa Mitchell, who is his caregiver; sisters, Laurel Akers and her husband Jesse, Sharon Fortin and her husband Terry, Dorothy Sabin and her husband Harold; sister-in-law, Diane Donnelly; and grandchild Allie Abbott. There will be a Memorial Service on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 10:00AM at the Moriarty Civic Center, followed by a potluck at the Chruch of Christ in Moriarty, NM. Pastor John Booth and Pastor Mike Nasci will officiate.
