Manuelita Herrera, 91, Of Manzano, NM passed away on September 22, 2006, at the home of daughter Gloria and husband Eppy Paez of Mountainair, NM. She was surrounded by her loving family. It broke our heart to lose you, mama, but you did not go alone, for part of us went with you. Your heart was weak, your bones were brittle, and you could no longer stay so God called you home. She was preceded in death by her husband Antonio Herrera married for fifty eight years and 3 sons’, Roberto, Antonio Jr., and Augustine Herrera, parents Maria and Salvador Griego, a brother Sisto Griego, a sister Adela, Chavez, and a daughter-in-law Loyola Herrera. She is survived by a brother, Pedro and wife, Dolores Griego of Albuquerque, NM, sisters, Fedelina Garcia of Willard, NM, Virgina Aragon, Carman Thompson, and Mary Griego of Albuquerque, NM. Sons; Ignacio and wife Francis Herrera of Albuquerque, NM, Eddy Herrera of Estancia, NM, Arturo Herrera, Leroy Herrera and Ruth Ann Nelson of Manzano, NM. Daughters; Tillie Herrera Brummell of Mountainair, NM, Isabel and husband Carlos Sanchez, of Albuquerque, NM, Diana and husband Mike Apodaca, of San Bernardino, CA, Cecilia and husband Arturo E. Sanchez of Bend, Oregon, Gloria and husband Eppy Paez of Mountainair, NM, grandson Daniel Herrera Brummell that she helped raise for six years. She loved her two year old great granddaughter Zoey Joe Brazil, Zoey would come into her room every morning and say, Good Morning Little Grandma, I love you. She was a wonderful, grandmother and loved all her 31 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, and 26 great-great-grandchildren. She was born in La Cienega, NM in 1915 and attended Mountainair High School, after that she met and married Antonio Herrera in 1933. Together they had 12 children. She was a member of Nuestra Senora de Dolores Catholic Church in Manzano, NM, where she and her husband were Mayordomos of the church three times, and she also was a member of the Alter Society. Pallbearers will be her granddaughters, Rachel Sarabia, Anabel Gamez, Shirly Felix, Karen Sanchez Griego, Julie Lujan, Teresa Wasson, Cathy Coleman, Elizabeth Herrera, Joyce Martinez, Louisa Herrera, Daniella Herrera, Carmella “Lucha” Herrera, Mariaelena Lovato, Olivia Boyle, Natalie Sanchez, Consuelo Brazil, and JoAnna Chavez. Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Lawrence Herrera, Ronnie Herrera, Steven Herrera, Daniel Brummell, Patrick Brummell, Michael Herrera, Anthony Herrera, Charles Sanchez, Timothy Sanchez, Armando Herrera, Michael Apodoca, Joseph Apodace, Daniel Apodoca, and Solis Herrera. A Rosary will be recited Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 7:00 PM at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church of Manzano. A mass will be Friday, September 29, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church of Manzano. Father Stone will be officiating. Arrangements entrusted to
