Charles Coates Robinson

Charles Coates Robinson, 64, of McIntosh, NM peacefully passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 22, 2010. Charles was born in Santa Monica, CA on December 15, 1945 to Paul Waitman and Martha Amelia (Rossiter) Robinson. Charles had lived in McIntosh for the past fourteen years, having previously lived in the North Valley of Albuquerque. He married Ella Laurene Martin on August 28, 1998 in Moriarty, NM. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps and a member of the VFW. Charles is survived by his wife, Ella “Laurene” Robinson; son, Adam Robinson and his wife Starla; daughter, LeeAnn Cowan; sisters, Ellie May Rossiter Robinson and Celeste Percy; and four grandchildren, Mariah Dawn and Nathan Ray Cowan and Damien Asher and Reichelle Faith Robinson. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Martha Robinson and step-brother, Howard Fullerton. The Funeral Service will be on Friday, October 1, 2010 at 11:00AM at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM with Chaplain Steve Tvedt officiating. Burial will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM at 1:30PM on Friday, October 1, 2010. A Reception will follow at the American Legion Post 49 in Albuquerque at 3:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Adam Robinson, Jake Lewis, Dale Lewis, Ronnie Ansley, Donnie Ansley, and Monty Cowan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Willie Wilborn, Larry Seale, Kenny Moore, and Nathan Cowan. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
