Mary Louella Conner, of Kerrville, TX, passed away Monday, May 18, 2009 in a San Antonio TX hospital. Mary is survived by her husband, Doyle Conner of Kerrville TX; sons, Dewayne Conner and his wife Debbie of Pompano Beach FL, and Mike Conner and his wife Liz of Scottsdale, AZ; grandson, Brian Conner of Pompano Beach FL; and granddaughter, Tiffany Conner of Phoenix AZ. Mary’s passion was taking care of her family. She excelled at “down home cookin'”; always made you take your shoes off before entering her home, and kept the cupboards full just in case company stopped by. Fishing for catfish or bass was a favorite pastime. Mary called many places home throughout the 53 years of her marriage to Doyle including several towns and cities in Texas, West Plains MO, Tuba City, Gray Mountain, and Mesa, AZ, Albuquerque and Estancia, NM, Ft Lauderdale and Marathon FL. She lived in houses, mobile homes, travel trailers, motel rooms, and even on a motor yacht in the Florida Keys. Her body is laid to rest, but her spirit will be forever free. A graveside service was held on Friday, May 22, 2009 at the Estancia Cemetery in Estancia, NM.
