Robert Joseph Henderson

May 29, 1949 — October 30, 2007

Robert (Bob) Henderson, 58, Bob was brought into this world in Oceanside, New York on May 29, 1949 and was freed from suffering on October 30, 2007. He relocated to New Mexico in 1973 and has lived in the Edgewood area since 1994. Remaining are his best friend and wife, Ginnie, three children, Brandi and Ed Gaylord, Chad Snowden and his son, Gage and Jason Snowden. None of whom could have ever truly been prepared for this loss. Bob was the Executive Director of La Pasada Halfway House for the past eight years but his true love was his music. He played the guitar in numerous bands since the age of thirteen and continued to do so on a weekly basis until this last September when he decided to pull all of his energy into healing the disease that finally took him from his family and friends. Bob preferred that no formal funeral service be held. There will be a celebration of his life, love, family, friends and music at Malarky’s, located on Hotel Circle (Eubank & I-40) on Saturday, November 3rd from 2 to 6 pm. Bring some good memories and a side dish. Parting The time has come for parting and I must leave and go. When love remains in parting, leaving is hard, I know. I’ve had my days, I’ve had my way, I’ve laughed and loved and lived. I’ve fought and cried, sought and tried ‘till I had nothing left to give. Please forget the bad times, and only recall the good. Because it’s in your nature to forget just what you should. I’ve had my outs, I’ve has some doubts, I’ve quit and called it a day So, play the music in my stead and smile for me today.
