Roberta J. Sturgeon

Roberta J. Sturgeon, 80, of Cedar Crest, NM, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2009. Roberta was born on February 24, 1929 in Kossuth, Indiana to George and Elsie (Hughes) Sons. She married Robert Lee Sturgeon, her loving husband of 62 years, on April 20, 1947. She lived in Cedar Crest for 44 years. She was a member of the Community Church of the Sandias. Roberta is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Fern, Mildred, and Louise “Coonie”; and her brother, Alfred. She is survived by her husband; sons, Kerry L and his wife Lisa R. of Tijeras, NM, Kevin L. of Albuquerque, NM and Jeff A. of Corrales, NM; three brothers, James, John and Ronald Sons; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. There will be a memorial service on Sunday, May 17, 2009 at the Community Church of the Sandias at 5:30PM, with Pastor Jim Cunningham officiating. Pallbearers will be Tony Sturgeon, Jon Sturgeon, Jack Sturgeon, A Family Member, Zach Sturgeon and Jonathan Sturgeon.
