William Smith

William “Bill” Smith, 92, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away at his home on May 7, 2009. Bill was born on November 1, 1916 in Woonsocket, SD to Edward and Katherine (Renker) Schmit. He moved to Arizona in September of 05 coming from Corona NM. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Magdalena. Bill is survived by his daughters, Dolly Housner and Mark Stell of Phoenix, AZ, Linda Cancilla and her husband Timothy, of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Sister Mary Grace Schmit, four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. There will be a funeral service on Friday, May 15, 2009 at 11:00AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Corona, NM with Pastor Kathy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at the Corona Cemetery in Corona, NM. Pallbearers will be William Cancilla, Bryan Chubinsky, Weston Housner, Lon Holleyman, Joseph Sanchez and Mike Sanchez.
