Keith Leon Palmer, 75, quietly slipped into his eternal home on January 27,2018. Born on March 20,1942 in Johnson City, New York to the late George and Viola Palmer, Keith completed the family of three brothers and two sisters. The boy who dreamed of being the Lone Ranger and played basketball with his brothers grew into an exceptional man; he received his BA degree in Accounting at SUNY Binghamton. He obtained employment and retired as a Financial Analyst for IBM. A gentle and loving soul, Keith gladly offered the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Slow to anger and patient to respond, Keith loved fiercely and loyally. Keith involved himself in the community and different endeavors that brought honor to his mother’s last wishes of leaving this world a better place for all. Keith is survived by his wife, Marion Palmer of Loganville, GA; daughters, Michelle Patzer and husband Scott of Snellville, GA, and Kimberly Gourley and husband Thomas of Loganville, GA; brother-in-law Paul Suwak, wife Barbara and nephew Nicholas; along with close friend Sheila Mink of Moriarty, NM. Keith’s pride and joy, his grandchildren Darien, Zachary, Caitlin, Kazia and Madison, cherish their grandpa’s witness of how to live a life of meaning, compassion and love. A private family celebration will occur at a later date; therefore, no services are planned at this time.
