Obituary
Roy Randolf Biscamp, more affectionately known as Randy, 66, passed away on October 20, 2017 in Moriarty, New Mexico. Randy was born in Hemphill, Texas to Roy Biscamp and Tommie Biscamp on September 28, 1951 while the family was on vacation visiting their grandmother. The family actually lived in Dallas and continued to live there through his school age years.
Shortly after high school, Randy met the love of his life, Judy, through the Church. Judy’s father Herman (Chief) Laxson was doing a bible study with him. They stayed friends for several years before getting married in 1974.
He was a strong republican and a very proud Marine, who loved his country. He joined the Marine Corp in 1972. He was a Corporal for 2 years and worked as an engineer during the time of the Vietnam war.
After the Marine Corps he worked as a mechanic for David McDavid Honda and Caterpillar before driving an 18 wheeler.
He moved to New Mexico in the mid 1990’s and eventually started working for the Willard Dairy. He worked as a Mechanic for Willard Dairy for 20 years and met a lot of friends who had a deep impact on his life. He was a very private man all his life, but the friends he spent his time with were very near and dear to his heart. He was lucky to have so many wonderful people in his life who loved him. He had a great sense of humor and brought laughter and joy to all his friends. He had a passion for guns, knives, and rebuilding cars.
Over his lifetime, Randy was a mechanic for almost 45 years. Although, when he was younger, he was a licensed electrician, he enjoyed being a mechanic more. He could fix anything. He enjoyed buying old cars, fixing them up and reselling them. His 3 children and 3 grandchildren were the pride and joys of his life. We will all miss him dearly.
Randy is preceded in death by his Father Roy Biscamp, Mother Tommie Biscamp, and Brother Kenneth Biscamp.
Randy is survived by the love of life Judy Biscamp, his children Kimberly Dawn Winkler, Michael Owen Biscamp, and John Crocker Biscamp, his sister Connie Haselden; and Grandchildren, Delyn Stacy Winkler, Elizabeth Jen Biscamp, and Samantha Grace Biscamp.
The family of Randy wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Red Maxwell, John and Holly Booth, The Moriarty Church of Christ, Compassus Hospice, Harris-Hanlon Mortuary and everyone who sent cards, brought food and visited Randy. A Memorial Service will be held in the spring of 2018 at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
