Lorenzo Barela

Lorenzo Barela, 83, passed away on October 7, 2017 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born on January 30, 1934 in Tajique, NM. Lorenzo was a lifetime resident of NM and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Filomeno and Anita Barela; brothers, Tomas Barela, Amador Barela, and Diego Barela and sisters, Eleanor Gutierrez and Aurelia Gutierrez. Lorenzo is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Barela of Tajique, NM; daughters, Liz Maes and husband Ron of Tajique, NM and Lori Coash and husband Peter of Tajique, NM; brother, Silverio Barela; sisters, Louisa Rudolpho, Mena Sandoval and Margie Barela and grandchildren, Lorenzo Maes and fiancé Julie Duffens, Andrea Brown and husband David, Rebekah Maes, Christopher Coash and Lizzie Coash. Funeral Services will be on Friday October 13, 2017 at the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Estancia, NM. The Rosary will be recited at 10:00 A.M. with the Celebration of Mass to follow at 11:00 A.M. Father John Paul will officiate. Interment will be at the Estancia Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lorenzo Maes, Christopher Coash, David Brown, Johnny Barela, Fred Otero and Manuel Solis. Honorary Pallbearers will be Paul Sanchez and Daniel Barela.
