James "Sonny" Floyd Massey Jr.

James “Sonny” Floyd Massey Jr., 75, passed away on September 12, 2017. He was born on December 4, 1941 in Artesia, New Mexico. James was a lifetime resident of New Mexico. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Floyd and Ruby Pearl (Denson) Massey Sr.; sister, Marilyn Adkison and brothers, Benny Wilson, Samuel James Massey, Tom Massey and Dave Massey. Sonny is survived by his brother, Jerry Massey and wife Debbie of Estancia, NM; sisters, Maxine Clark and husband Kenneth of Briton, IL and Patsy Johnson and husband Robert of Albuquerque, NM as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service is scheduled for Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at the Church of Christ in Moriarty, NM. The Viewing will be from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. with the Service immediately following at 10:00 A.M. Pastor John Booth will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jerod Massey, Brian Massey, Gabriel Massey, Don Massey, Louis Abrahan, Samuel Massey, Matthew Massey and Tommy Massey. Honorary Pallbearers will be Manny Romero, Don Fitzner, Freddy Massey and Aaron Massey. Interment will be at the Estancia Cemetery.
