Ruth Humiston Marshall

Ruth Humiston Marshall, 85, passed away of July 16, 2017 in Leyba, New Mexico. She was born on December 26, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Homer and Katharine (Zenner) Humiston. Ruth was a longtime resident of New Mexico and a member of the Stanley Union Church in Stanley, NM. She loved to sew, knit and embroider. Ruth will be deeply missed by her family, friends and community. She is survived by her beloved husband, Walt H. Marshall of Rivera, NM; sons, Walton Marshall of Kazakhstan, Frederick Marshall and Zhe Lan Chen of Arlington, TX and Daniel Marshall and wife Josephine of Houston, TX; daughters, Meredith Lowry and husband William of Port Townsend, WA and Daphne Talbot and husband Rob of Edmond, OK; brother Karl Humiston and wife Bonny and sister, Susan Chapp. Ruth was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday September 2, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at the Stanley Union Church in Stanley, NM. Pastor Tim Falling will officiate. Burial will follow at the Stanley Union Church.
