Billy Dan Shield

Billy Dan Shield, 58, passed away on June 1, 2017 in Estancia, New Mexico. He was born on August 8, 1958 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to the late Bob and Helen Marie (Gibbs) Shield. Billy was an extraordinary artist and specialized in drawing. He loves the outdoors and was an excellent horseshoe player. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and community. Billy is also preceded in death by his sister, Bobbie Deon Shield. He is survived by his brothers, Roy (Maria) Shield of Estancia, NM and James Allen and Nancy Shield of Tyrone, OK; step brother, James Alan and Joy King of Moriarty, NM; step sisters, Sue of CO and Judy of NM as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday June 3, 2017 at the Harris Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM.
