Lloyd Edward Riddles, 81, passed away on May 2, 2017 in Moriarty, New Mexico. He was born on November 28, 1935 in Waurika, OK to the late Elmer and Bertha (Quillin) Riddles. Lloyd was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Core and Pastored for over 50 years. He was extremely proud of his cowboy poetry and was a very well rounded person. He passionately rode Saddle Broncs as well as bulls and was very involved in the PRCA. He was an announcer for PRCA rodeos and was an actor as well. He also is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley Riddles; brothers, Truman Riddles and Eldon Riddles; son, Wayne Riddles and great grandson, Christopher Chavez. Lloyd is survived by his sons, Kevin Riddles and wife Ilona and Corey Riddles and wife Amy; daughter, Renea Rippetoe and husband Frank; daughter in law, Linda Riddles and sister, Cathy Brookshire and husband Tony. Lloyd was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. A Funeral Service is scheduled for Friday May 5, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the Calvary Chapel in McIntosh, New Mexico. Pastor Mike Nasci and Pastor Frank Rippetoe will officiate. Pallbearers will be Michael O’Donnell, Mark Pope, Rusty Rippetoe, Mark Riley, Brad Bonger and John Paul Phillips. Interment will follow at the Mountain View Cemetery in Moriarty, NM where Lloyd will be laid to rest with his wife, Shirley Riddles. Arrangements were entrusted to Harris Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM.
