Mollie Padilla

Mollie Padilla, 81, passed away on April 4, 2017 in Mountainair, New Mexico. She was born on December 9, 1935 in Willard, NM to the late Federico and Maria (Reyes Alderete) Luna. Mollie married Erineo Padilla on February 14, 1956 in Mountainair, NM. She was a loving wife, mother grandmother and great grandmother. She devoted her life to our Lord Jesus Christ and the work of the Holly Spirit. She was President of the Sacred Heart League and Alter Society, a member of the St. Vincent De Paul Society for 40 years, a religious teacher as well as youth group organizer and CCD Leader. Mollie was the Church Mayoradoma and choir coordinator, a valued community leader and President of Booster Club for many years. Her family, friends and community will deeply miss her. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Mateo Luna, Antonio Luna, Melcor Luna, Gabriel Luna and Andy Luna and great grandchildren, Kristin Warrick, Zachary Warrick, Bradley Warrick and Faith Warrick. Mollie is survived by her beloved husband, Erineo Padilla of Mountainair, NM; sons, Edward (Diana) Padilla of Mountainair, NM, Rick (Charmen) Padilla of Manzano, NM and Adrian (girlfriend Brenda Tafoya) Padilla of Manzano, NM; daughters, Mary Rose (Kevin) Jaramillo of Belen, NM, Corina (Pat) Ortiz of Mountainair, NM and Agatha (Benny Lee) Jaramillo of Belen, NM and sisters, Delfinia Luna and Canda (Robert) Chavez. Mollie was blessed with 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. A Rosary is to be recited on Thursday April 6, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. at the St. Alice Catholic Church in Mountainair, NM. The Celebration of Mass will be on Friday April 7, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. Father Bob Peccatiello to Officiate. Pallbearers will be Edward Padilla, Rick Padilla, Adrian Padilla, Kevin Jaramillo, Pat Ortiz and Benny Lee Jaramillo. Honorary Pallbearers are Edward A. Padilla, Patrick Ortiz, Erineo Ortiz, Brain Jaramillo, John Padilla, Kevin Jaramillo, Jason Padilla, Josiah Padilla, Gabriel Padilla, Xavien Garcia, Anthony Padilla, Nathaniel Padilla, Jonathon Padilla and Michael Padilla. Burial will be at the Mountainair Cemetery in Mountainair, NM.
