Gilbert Adam Ortiz, 67, passed away on April 2, 2017 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born on April 12, 1949 in Anton Chico, NM to the late Flovio and Victoria (Lucero) Ortiz. On August 8, 1968 in Beaverton, OR he married his wife Hilaria Guerra. Gilbert was the owner and operator of Ortiz Appliance in Edgewood, NM and loved going to car shows. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is also preceded in death by his sisters, Angel Ortiz and Mary Martinez. Gilbert is survived and will forever be remembered by his beloved wife, Hilaria Ortiz of Edgewood, NM; sons, Gilbert A. (Amber) Ortiz Jr. of Moriarty, NM and David (Jessica) Ortiz of Battleground, WA; brothers, Willie David Ortiz, Flavio Ortiz Jr., Joe “Raymond” Ortiz, Ernie Ortiz, Benjamen Ortiz and Steve Ortiz and sisters, Tersea Torres, Faviola Cantu and Rosie Ortiz. Gilbert had three grandchildren, Hope Victoria Lyons, Carson Ortiz and Wilson Ortiz as well as 2 great grandchildren, Audrey and Riley Lyons. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday April 8, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Harris Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM. David Torres will Officiate.
