Joe Forrest Ford

Joe Forrest Ford, 85, passed away on November 30, 2016 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born on March 25, 1931 in Nashville, TN to the late Clarence and Maude (Felts) Ford On February 9, 1954 in San Diego, CA he married his soul mate Katherine Toya. Joe served his country and retired from the United States Navy. He was also a past Post Commander of the VFW Post 401, State Commander of the VFW and a lifetime Legislative Member of the VFW. He belonged to the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, NM. He is also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Katherine Ford; brother, Porter Ford and sister, Nova Manuel. Joe is survived by his sons and daughter in law, Joe M. and Lori Ford of Alpine, CA and Thomas W. Ford of Moriarty, NM. Joe was blessed with a beautiful granddaughter, Haley Ford. A Viewing is scheduled for Thursday December 8, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Harris Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, New Mexico. The Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Friday December 9, 2016 at 11:15A.M. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM.
