Etta Leah Ackerman

Etta Leah Ackerman, 69, passed away on October 16, 2016. She was born on October 10, 1947 in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late Herman F. and Etta Mae (Smith) Dunn. On February 14, 1986 she married Gino Ackerman in Las Vegas, NV. Etta was a longtime employee of Bethel Community Storehouse, a lover of animals, a proud member of the N.R.A. and had her concealed carry permit. She was extremely caring and loving and will be greatly missed by her family, friends and community. Etta is survived and forever remembered by her beloved husband, Gino L. Ackerman of Moriarty, NM; sons, Scott (Lisa) Ashford of Pahrump, NV and Robert B. (Jen) Ackerman of HI; daughters, Tonja Ashford of Moriarty, NM, Joell Ackerman of Albuquerque, NM, Leah Ackerman of Edgewood, NM and Lacy Ackerman of Moriarty, NM and brother, Herman F. (Carol) Dunn III. Etta was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service is planned for Saturday October 22, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Crossroads Bible Fellowship in Edgewood, New Mexico. Pastor Gale Holt will officiate. In Lieu of flowers, donations to your local animal shelter in Etta’s name would be greatly appreciated.
