Eleanor "Midge" Leona Neal

Eleanor “Midge” Leona Neal, 80, passed away on October 8, 2016 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born on December 3, 1935 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Elmer and Zelma (Stickney) Shafer. On May 29, 1971 she married her soul mate William Neal. Eleanor was a longtime resident of Estancia, NM and a member of the Mountain Springs Baptist Church in Albuquerque, NM. She is also preceded in death by her son, Billy “William” Ayers; brother, Robert Shafer and sisters, Jean and Faye. Eleanor is survived by her beloved husband, William Neal of Estancia, NM; sons, James Neal, Kenneth Neal, Frank Ayers, Elmer Ayers, Charlie Ayers and Mark Ayers; daughters, Peggy Debruyn and Bettie Sarpas and brother, Carl Shafer. Eleanor was blessed with 22 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A Funeral Service is scheduled for Friday, October 14, 2016 at the Harris Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, New Mexico at 11:00 A.M. Pastor John Nash to Officiate. Interment will be at the McIntosh Cemetery in McIntosh, New Mexico. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Neal, Frank Ayers, Mark Ayers, Elmer Ayers, Charlie Ayers and Isaac Ayers.
