Lu Van De Valde

Lu Van De Valde, 63, passed away on October 7, 2016 in her home in Moriarty, New Mexico. She was born on October 2, 1953 in Santa Fe, New Mexico to the late Paul and Mae Belle (Maupin) Gentry. Lu lived in New Mexico for most of her life and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She was a good and faithful friend and will be greatly missed. Lu is preceded in death by her husband, Terry Van De Valde; brother, George Vane Gentry and sister, Ila Rae Holcomb. She is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Miranda Adams of Santa Fe, NM, Angela and Jude Baca of Moriarty, NM, Sarah Tenorio of Moriarty, NM, Jodi and Calvin Davis Jr. of Moriarty, NM and sister, Jolene Gomez of Pojoaque. Lu was blessed with 9 beautiful grandchildren, D.J., Mary, William, Mirandah, Matthew, Lila Belle, Evan, Riyanna and Peyton. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday October 22, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the St. John’s United Methodist Church in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
