Robert Samuel Letcher

Robert Samuel Letcher, 73, passed away on September 30, 2016 in McIntosh, New Mexico surrounded by his loving family. Robert was born on May 13, 1943 in Aguadillo, Puerto Rico to the late Robert and Maria (Trevino) Letcher. He served his country as a Field Medical Technician in the United States Navy. Robert loved using his metal detector to search for crystals and gems to add to his every growing collection and was very interested in researching and practicing hypnosis. His love for his fury friends was a bond like no other. Bear, Precious, Buddy and Molly were not just man’s best friends to Robert, they were a cherished part of his family as well. Most people will remember Robert for the absolute admiration and unconditional love for his grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sondra Letcher; son, David Letcher; step son, David Miller; sisters, Judy Evans and Linda Perrini and grandson, Joshua Heid. Robert is survived by his son and daughter in law, Robert and Erica Letcher of Holland, MI; daughter and son in law, Lori and Raymond Heid of McIntosh, NM and Lisa Letcher of Palm Bay, FL; brothers and sister in law, Bill and Priscilla Letcher of Denville, NJ and Samuel Letcher of Holland, MI; sister, Margo Falco of NJ as well as 5 beautiful grandchildren, Jilian Heid, Jewlia Heid, Allie Andrews, Dillan Andrews and Amanda Letcher. Services will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico at a later date.
