Mary Lou Saenz, 72, passed away on August 8, 2016 in Albuquerque NM at 9:22 am. Mary Lou was born on January 16, 1944 on the ranch in Willard to the late Max and Lou Padilla. Mary Lou graduated Estancia high school in 1962. She worked on the ranch and did some traveling after high school until she met the love of her life, Elias Saenz. They married in Estancia on July 9, 1973. Mary lived in Willard until she moved to Eunice in 1982 raising her family there where she worked for the Eunice public school system. In 1999 she returned to Willard where she lived the rest of her life. She worked for Zens Dairy and was a homemaker. Mary Lou is survived by her husband Elias Saenz, daughter Victoria Vazquez of Abilene TX, a son Elias Saenz and daughter Lupita Saenz both of Willard. 4 sisters; Pauline Romero of Estancia, Frances Scalise of Santa Fe, Cecilia Sanchez of Albuquerque and Stella Williams of Seminole TX, numerous nieces and nephews. Mary Lou cherished her grandchildren; 7 grandsons, 5 granddaughters and a great granddaughter. Mary Lou is proceeded in death by her parents Max and Lou Padilla, a brother Max Padilla Jr and daughter Veronica Saenz. A Visitation is scheduled for Thursday August 11, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Willard, NM. The Reciting of the Rosary will follow at 7:00 P.M. The Celebration of Mass will be on Friday August 12, 2016 at 12:00 P.M. Father Bob Peccatiello will Officiate. Interment will be at the Mountainair Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Juan Carlos Zamora, Ivan Zamora, Robert D. Trevino, Angelo Valedez and Isiah McDaniels. Jose Chavarria Jr. will be an Honorary Pallbearer.
