Almer “Buster” Elijah Dial, 73, passed away on June 23, 2016 in Estancia, New Mexico. He was born on August 14, 1942 4 miles west of Estancia, NM to the late Elmer and Lola (Strong) Dial. Buster entered into rest at the same place of his birth. He married Charlotte Garcia on Jan 31, 1966 and she has preceded him in death. Buster served as a Sherriff Deputy, built many homes and buildings as a contractor and Retired from Sandia National Labs as a Security Police Officer. Buster proudly served his country in the United States Army and continued his service as an active member of Turner Ficklin Thomas American Legion Post 22. Buster will forever be remembered for having a big cowboy hat, a Pabst Blue Ribbon in one hand and a hammer in the other. Buster is survived by his son, Nathan M. Dial of Estancia, NM; daughters and sons in law, Lillian and Manuel Hernandez of Estancia, NM and Christina and Alberto Estrada of Estancia, NM as well as brothers, Jack Dial and Alfred Dial. Buster was blessed with 13 beautiful grandchildren. A Graveside Service is scheduled for Thursday June 30, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Estancia Cemetery in Estancia, NM. Pastor Johnathan Richards to Officiate. Pallbearers will be immediate family members. Arrangements were entrusted to Harris Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, New Mexico.
